About 15 years ago I went to Tajikstan by plane. The flight was awful and my shoes wer a complete mess. I decided to clean my shoes and a shoecleaner at the airport offered to clean them for a few pence. After he had cleaned the shoes he asked me to pay a few pounds!!!I said I had agreed the price and I wouldn't pay the large amount he was asking for. I said I was going to call the police.
At exactly the same time a policeman walked by and the shoecleaner called him over.
The policeman said that I would have to pay or I would be arrested.
