BUCHAREST

Bucharest is a large city in the southeast of Romania; it is the capital.
Bucharest is situated on the banks of the Dâmboviţa River, which flows into the Argeş River, a tributary of the Danube.
The People's House (Palace of the Parliament)is the world's second largest administrative building after the Pentagon.
What to do
1. Go for a walk in Herastrau Park.
2. Visit the The Village Museum, which contains an amazing collection of original peasant homes from all over Romania.
3. Visit the History, Military, Art and Natural History Museums.
4. Go to see the collection of animals at Bucharest Zoo Gardens in Baneasa Woods.
5. Eat Forcemeat rolls [a mixture of ground, raw or cooked meat, poultry, fish, vegetables or fruit mixed with bread crumbs and seasoning]. These should be served in cabbage leaves and washed down with Tuica [plum brandy], the national drink.
